A distinctive piece of Estonian glass design by Elve Tauts for Tarbeklaas.

The “Alla” vase was designed by Estonian glass artist Elve Tauts and produced by Tarbeklaas in Tallinn, Estonia, around 1989–1990.

Made from opaque white art glass, the vase features numerous small dark bubbles and speckled inclusions suspended throughout the glass. This unusual decorative effect gives the otherwise minimalist white vase a wonderfully organic texture and makes each example subtly individual.

The form is beautifully balanced: a rounded bulbous body, gently narrowing neck and broad flared rim. Despite its compact size, the vase has a strong sculptural presence and displays beautifully on its own.

An excellent collectible for admirers of Estonian art glass, Tarbeklaas, Baltic design and 20th-century European glass.
