Hand Carved Wooden Squirrel with Acorn

A charming hand-carved wooden squirrel perched on a beautifully textured tree stump, holding a small acorn between its paws.

The warm brown finish, expressive angular carving and visible wood grain give this little woodland figure wonderful rustic character. Two additional acorns decorate the base, while the lighter natural wood acorn creates a lovely contrast.

Likely dating from the second half of the 20th century, possibly around the 1970s. The maker and exact origin are unknown. Remnants of an old paper label remain on the underside.
