Vintage Estonian Book Vana aja koolilood – Soviet School Days, Tiia Toomet 2001

Vana aja koolilood (Old-Time School Stories) – Tiia Toomet

📚 A warm, funny and honest look at going to school in Soviet Estonia. Tiia Toomet started school in 1954, and her stories are paired with Jaan Tammsaar’s collage-style pages full of real objects from the era: ink pots, pioneer badges, school caps, satchels and old pencils.

A lovely nostalgic gift for anyone who grew up in Estonia, or for curious grandchildren.
