Original 1972 Bummi Sammelband 14 children's book from East Germany (DDR), published by Verlag Junge Welt in Berlin.
A wonderfully colourful piece of East German childhood history, filled with charming period illustrations, stories, songs, poems and educational material. This copy is especially appealing because it still comes with its original illustrated Bummi cardboard slipcase.
The book itself is very well preserved for its age, with bright covers and colourful interior illustrations. The original slipcase shows more noticeable age-related wear, particularly around the edges, corners and opening.
