»Erziehung zur Kunst« – Graphik
A beautifully produced German art education portfolio from the early 1960s, devoted to drawing and graphic art from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The linen-covered box holds an illustrated text volume and a large set of loose plates reproducing drawings by the great masters, from a 14th-century sheet in the Albertina to Holbein, Michelangelo, Piero di Cosimo, Picasso and Marino Marini, sourced from museums such as the Uffizi, the Louvre, the British Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Each plate is accompanied by a short commentary, and the large sheets are well suited for framing, making this a thoughtful gift for an artist or art lover.
